Eucalyptus diversicolor, commonly known as Karri, is a large, iconic tree endemic to south-west Western Australia, valued for its exceptional height and straight, commanding form.

It is characterised by smooth, pale bark that sheds in patches to reveal cream to grey tones, and a dense green canopy held high above the ground. In natural conditions, it develops into one of the tallest eucalypts in the region, creating a dominant vertical presence.

Small white flowers are produced seasonally, attracting birds and pollinators, though the species is primarily appreciated for its scale and structural impact.

Due to its ultimate size, E. diversicolor is not suited to typical home landscaping or standard street tree use. It is best used in large-scale and rural plantings where space allows for full development, including windrows, boundary planting, shelterbelts, parks, large subdivisions, and urban canopy projects.
